Birmingham-born gospel artist, songwriter and vocalist James Thompson's sound brings together gospel, soul, R&B and the musical heritage of the Black British church. Having lent his voice to artists including Becky Hill, Tom Grennan, Jess Glynne, Snoop Dogg and Elton John, James has built a career across major stages, recordings and television. He was also the sole male vocalist on the global Just Eat campaign, “Did Somebody Say Just Eat”. His own sound blends rich vocal arrangements, live musicianship and honest songwriting, exploring faith, relationships, identity and hope, with gospel as the foundation rather than the boundary. Following singles “A Little Prayer” and “Mercy Endureth”, James enters a new chapter with his debut album, *Presence: Volume 1*. Shaped by a wide musical world and grounded in his own experiences, it introduces him not simply as a voice you may have heard before, but as an artist with a sound and story entirely his own.
